We often say, GIDE is simply powerful and business-friendly financial modelling software.
And while it indeed started as such a few years ago, it is only half true.
Today, GIDE offers many progressive corporate performance management, collaboration and social enterprise features as well.
All designed by our corporate finance people with an aim to help your management navigate your business into the future.
GIDE has distinctive software elements addressing different data company processes, yet working in concert to actively analyse, model and publish data within the realm of your company’s business model.
GIDE Software Suite is (1) an in-memory financial modelling system that combines (2) the versatility and do-it-yourself quality of spreadsheets, with (3) a powerful and error-free calculation engine of expensive tailor-made systems, supporting (4) real-time workgroup collaboration (5), implementable in days.
You may integrate actual business data from multiple data sources, run relational analysis on that data, simulate your company’s future performance based on a comprehensive reality check of where you are now, and then share this knowledge with your colleagues.Software features here
Poweroom is a multi-dimensional analysis tool for high-granularity transactional data.
Users can combine dimensions of data and apply models above this data.
Poweroom is GIDE’s answer to looking into, understanding, and processing extra-large volumes of data, from any source.
Dataroom creates a true data modelling environment for multi-parameter simulations, error-free financial models, dynamic analytics, and fast data consolidation.
Benefit from dynamic time structure management, all in a drag and drop environment.
Dataroom allows for unlimited modelling scenarios and easy consolidation and carve out.
Boardroom is a cloud-based work-flow social enterprise tool allowing for multi-level collaboration.
Boardroom is the place to voice questions and work together to seek solutions, empowered by extensive resources and active support.
Web Apps include custom-made models for your company’s webpage.
Utilise an example of a Quick EVA Valuation and Target Assessment tool, intended to help companies get a better idea where company value is and how to improve it in the future.
Our customers have GIDE connected to multiple data sources. Financial as well as operational data set into integrated financial models and multi-dimensional structures.
GIDE is totally customisable and adaptable to businesses of all sizes and specialisations.
Featuring Quick Performance Analysis Controls, our software is fast, versatile and accommodates your business needs, using drag and drop principles.
Companies that can rapidly re-plan and re-forecast are better able to maintain healthy operations and evolve on the ever-changing business landscape.
Quick Data Adaptability
Forecasts and plans can be quickly updated with the latest information on business performance. Once historical data for the latest month has been automatically imported, the rolling forecast is brought up-to-date as the user moves the time line.
True Data Modelling enables users to change their forecast data through multiple assumptions. Not only is year-end data adjusted by the latest data, forecasts are also updated.
While forward-looking balance sheets or cash flows items may be too complex for some BI and spreadsheets to maintain accurately, this is no problem with GIDE.
Calculations are carried out in a fool-proof environment with formulas implemented for a specific account and time period.
Each formula is consistent for all users during the defined period, resulting in zero mistakes within the underlying calculations – an accuracy that spreadsheet-based solutions cannot insure.
Data calculations are done in-memory, usually within seconds. Reports are displayed instantly, with new calculations run only if numbers have changed – giving users results faster than BI solutions, which need to recalculate every time a report is viewed. Calculations are run on a server for a GIDE workgroup implementation or on the individual machine in case of a single-user licence.
Unlimited Modelling Parameters
Users can utilise any number of modelling parameters and singular accounts may include multiple baseline data assumptions and modelling parameters.
The total number of potential assumptions is limited only by the needs of the user. Each assumption is an analysis when historical data is used and becomes a modelling parameter for forecasts and planning.
Data is structured into several projects and projects into several models, empowering users to better manage their data. Each project is standalone with its own complete database. The model is the building block of GIDE.
A Model can be anything. An entire company, business unit, product, business function (production, engineering, marketing) or a set of calculations (HR, capex).
Users can temporarily exclude or include individual entities from the structure to analyse the impact on the entire entity and drill down from the top into sub-elements.
Users are able to import, or manually input data, or connect to external data sources. Imports are carried out with Unified Code, the most widely used data migration format, as the default setting. Other formats can be implemented such as SAP and Oracle.
Short Implementation Period
Quickly create data structures and calculation models in-house.
Existing data models can be easily converted into GIDE – no coding necessary – permitting users to continue working with the familiar data structures from spreadsheets.
These features shorten the typical implementation period into weeks, not months as is typical for alternative solutions.
Fast Redesign Period
Quick fine-tuning by users is enabled following the already short implementation period of our software.
This solves the real-life need to adjust a business solution to evolving situations without requiring comprehensive revision or forcing the introduction of a completely new solution.
Unlimited Modelling Parameters
The price per licence is just part of our software’s total cost advantage. Designed to work without extensive IT support and specialist system operators, GIDE’s architecture enables fewer people to work with more projects and more data. With all users working with the same data in real-time, without needing to email or synchronise partial data accounts.
GIDE team delivers turn-key software solutions.
Fully customised to companies’ business models, practices, and team preferences.
Our work begins by converting existing spreadsheet models and reports into GIDE to make transition easier. Then, we typically suggest improvements and adjustments using the advanced modelling features of our software. We like to work within an agreed upon project timeline.
And then we deliver!
Installation and setup of the GIDE clients and GIDE Server. Defining security and access controls.
Analysing your data source vis-a-vis your modelling and reporting wishes.
Conversion of existing spreadsheets into SQL and NoSQL databases.
Construction of data update mechanisms from accounting, operating and business systems.
Building bespoke models reflecting the company’s business operations, group, product, and business unit structures and reporting preferences.
Management, statutory, and operational accounts available in one place including strategic rolling forecast (connected monthly and annual data).
Consolidation and automated currency conversions in place.
What-if mechanism reflecting operational, market, and top management assumptions.
We make sure that we train your key office of finance team members not only to become self-sufficient powerusers of GIDE but also trainers capable of transferring their modelling knowledge and GIDE skills to other employees.
After training, our clients are usually able to continue to get the most out of GIDE, and progressively improve, alter, or modify the models in GIDE as changes are required – without our direct intervention.
GIDE training can be provided on premise or on-line.
We strive to meet your needs and invite you to select the model that enables you to access GIDE and maximise the budget you have available.
